Regina Mamou and Lara Salmon, who work under the collaborative title Research for the Bermuda Triangle, culminate their residency at Haven for Artists with a happening on Thursday, November 22 at 9 p.m. in Concept 2092 Gallery. At this event, The Age of the Mayflower: An Anti-Dinner, guests will be presented with a ceremonious contra-dinner to commemorate the American holiday of Thanksgiving. This will be followed by a midnight celebration to ring in the worldwide commercial phenomenon of Black Friday.

While Thanksgiving is known for excessive consumption of food and drink, Black Friday is known for excesses in material consumption. Mamou and Salmon invite guests to partake in communal actions in order to examine the bacchanal overlap between these consecutive days.

As the collaborative Research for the Bermuda Triangle, Regina Mamou and Lara Salmon are interested in excavating the unknown from a research and body-based practice. From September 2018 to January 2019 they are in consecutive residency programs at Haven for Artists in Beirut, Lebanon, and Queens Collective in Marrakech, Morocco. Mamou and Salmon live and work in Los Angeles, California.
