We are excited to share information about our upcoming show at @somos.berlin. "Geldwäsche" (literally money washing /money laundering) is a unique soap line and performance—an experience in self-washing that celebrates, predicts, + examines the mechanisms of currency pegging. The show opens on February 27 at 19:00h.
Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day: That time when we both designed and worked with a tailor in the medina of Marrakech to help with the performative fashion for our installation "Best Western" at @queenscollectivemarrakech.
Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day: That time when @reginamamou tromped through the countryside of Morocco at sunset with friends.
Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day: That time when @reginamamou accompanied @rhombie on one of her photo shoots + they spent the day walking through the landscape + enjoying tajine.
Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day: @ms.larasaur experiments with the distillation of McDonald's Chicken McNuggets with BBQ sauce at @queenscollectivemarrakech. Yum.

Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day: @ms.larasaur painted "This home is a safe space, & sex positive" on our wall at @havenforartists.
Behind-the-Scenes Image of the Day. That time when we went all Breaking Bad with our project in Beirut, Lebanon. We were constantly producing cement objects that constantly produced dust.
Over the next several days we're sharing our behind-the-scenes images from the last 5 months. First up, @ms.larasaur + Moussa stoke the fire with our house fan as we burn food for contraDINE at @havenforartists.
We want to share a few exciting things with y'all. Not only are we updating our website [link in profile] with brand new documentation photos by @ishmaelclaxtonphotos but we are also creating an intervention in Berlin. Details to follow + thanks for you support.
Our collaborative work "Best Western" at the final exhibition of @queenscollectivemarrakech. "Best Western" is a tableau vivant in which we are the subjects. A steam-to-water distiller (similar to a perfume distiller), runs in the space continuously extracting the smell from travel guidebooks.
Backstage on the photo shoot to document "Best Western," a new project by me & @ms.larasaur (@research_bermuda_triangle) at the end of our residency (& final week!) at @queenscollectivemarrakech. 📸 by the talented @ishmaelclaxtonphotos, & of course, hurry_brat & @3rdeyetwiceshy. Thanks y'all!
Last night we completed our collaborative work "Best Western" at the final exhibition of @queenscollectivemarrakech. "Best Western" is a tableau vivant in which we are the subjects. A steam-to-water distiller (similar to a perfume distiller), runs in the space continuously extracting the smell from travel guidebooks.
We took a trip to #myslmarrakechresearchlibrary @myslmarrakech, which also included a spin around the museum – an experience in both light + color.
Sometimes the best way to experience a city is from afar.
We're back in the studio @queenscollectivemarrakech after our respective breaks + much rest + reflection. Our final exhibition will take place at Queens Collective on January 26!
As we say farewell to 2018, we are each taking time for our own travels to reflect on triumphs + challenges over the past 4 months. It’s a bittersweet moment as we know that we will be returning to @queenscollectivemarrakech in a few days to complete our 2nd project but our journey together will end only in a few weeks.
Abdelilah Rais is currently presenting his paintings at @bckartgallery. In addition to painting, Rais spent time with Nina Simone as her photographer on a European tour in the 1980s.
We are completely taken by Carolle Bénitah's work at @gallery127photography. Her images explore memory, family, and the passage of time. (We especially like the reflective surface of her framed work, which shows the interior of the gallery.)
Research for the Bermuda Triangle took a hiatus to the Ourika Valley, a site just outside of Marrakech.
